well, i've tried to connect via ip, but it doesn't work. my server browser doesn't find any servers via ip now i'm using mekmatch and server browser shows all the PR1 servers, but i can't connect to any of them. and i can't even ping the sfenterprise if i try to  does anyone have an idea where the problem is and how i can fix this?? i would appreciate your help thx |

More info please. What error message do you get when you try to connect to the servers you see in the menu?
Have you made any changes to your connection or game? Are you behind a router? Is your modem/router a newly installed one?
So you can see the servers of PR1 in the list but cant connect.
Generally speaking the problem is at your connection. ie router/modem setup, port opening/forwarding.
If you give me some more info I or others here may be able to talk you through it.

no, i didn't made any changes to the game, i just installed mw 4 and PR 1 and nothing else
i'm using dsl modem -> Wireless 4-port Broadband Router -> W-Lan stick
yes it's all newly installed ( 2 weeks ago)

ok, i made it
i'm able to connect via ip: 124.179.107.154
still wondering why connecting via ip: sfenterprise.dyndns.org abd other ips don't work o.O

If you can connect via ip to some servers but not to most other servers, I would also assume " the problem is at your connection. ie router/modem setup, port opening/forwarding". You didnt tell us details about your router config. First of all, dont use UPnP at router (!). Best way is to assign your pc a static lan ip and make proper port forwarding. Finally make sure the mekmatch.reg patch is applied correctly to get connected to MekTek's zone. (The file should be in your Mercs installation folder, maybe redownload it from here: www.mektek.net/joomla/index.php?option=com_content&task=view&id=988) For router setup / port forwarding plz follow the instructions on this page: mw4frost.funpic.de/router_en.html<S> |

established connection to the other servers^^
though my ping is very high, but that's no problem for me^^
and i'm very happy to be online at MW4 once again

i just reconnected my dsl modem to my broadband router and reinstalled the software for my router ... and then it worked^^
don't know why^^
